The two Development Corporations were established in 2023, following the success of the South Tees Development Corporation – now branded as Teesworks. They are charged with driving regeneration, business investment, housing and jobs within these areas, backed by funding and planning powers to help them cut red tape, make streets safer and create communities people want to live, work, invest and play.

The Chairs will be responsible for the proper running of their respective DC Board. They will guide and influence the Corporations at a strategic level providing confident, clear and consistent leadership. The Chair will work closely with and support the Tees Valley Mayor, the Chief Operating Officer and the TVCA Senior Leadership Team, and both support and challenge the Boards to lead and develop the organisation to ensure they deliver the vision for the towns. They will be appointed by the Tees Valley Mayor.

We are looking for individuals with Board experience, strong stakeholder relationships, a proven track record of leadership and strong business and commercial experience.
