Lead the future of Tees Valley’s visitor economy

The Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) is inviting Expressions of Interest for the voluntary position of Chair of the Tees Valley Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP) Board.

This is a high-profile leadership role at the heart of our region’s visitor economy, helping to steer strategy, strengthen collaboration, and champion Tees Valley’s tourism offer locally, regionally, and nationally.

About the Role

Position

Voluntary Chair of the Tees Valley LVEP Board

Term

Fixed term for two years, with the option to extend for a further one year subject to Board approval.

Remuneration

Voluntary role. Self-employed individuals may receive an honorarium of £150 per Board meeting. Reasonable travel and out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed.

Time Commitment

  • Chair three Board meetings per year 
  • Attend three in-person stakeholder or networking events per year 
  • Additional representation or promotional activity as required

Support

The Chair will be supported by the LVEP Manager and officers from the Tees Valley Combined Authority.

The Opportunity

The LVEP Board brings together leaders from across Tees Valley’s public, private, and community sectors to provide clear strategic direction and oversight for the visitor economy. It works alongside officers at Tees Valley Combined Authority – the region’s Destination Management Organisation – to amplify the region as a fantastic place to visit while driving forward economic growth.
