In 2021, Tees Valley Combined Authority commissioned an external consultant to develop a Destination Management Plan for Tees Valley.
With an ambitious £20million Growth Programme for the Creative and Visitor Economies 2021 – 2026, the Combined Authority wanted to take a strategic, place-based approach to strengthening the proposition and profile of the destination and attracting visitors to the region.
This plan sets out the strategic priorities and management for the planning, development, growth and marketing of the Tees Valley as an attractive, competitive and nationally relevant destination. It will help inform the investment in destination products and assets whilst developing and strengthening the destination brand to support the profile raising of the region.
