Cybersecurity Essentials for SME Supply Chain Management
This workshop introduces how cybersecurity can strengthen and future‑proof an organisation’s supply chain.
Participants will learn to identify cyber risks, reduce vulnerabilities, and develop a practical cyber‑compliance plan. Aimed at SME leaders and managers, the session connects digital tools with real operational improvements to support more resilient and secure systems. It covers common challenges, real examples, and opportunities facing SMEs in today’s fast‑moving digital landscape.
Key topics include procurement‑related cyber risks, common supply‑chain threats, requirements in public and private procurement frameworks, and methods for assessing risks within one’s own supply chain. The workshop also provides an overview of key frameworks such as Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, GDPR, and NCSC guidance. Additional areas include supplier vetting, onboarding and offboarding, access management, staff awareness, essential protections, and incident response.
Held at the Teesworks Skills Academy, the session includes a brief overview of major projects across the Teesworks development site.
