Emissions Reporting & Target Setting Webinar

Description

An overview of how emissions are measured and reported based on the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG) and setting science-based targets for reaching Net Zero. Starting with broad concepts of Net Zero and defining emission types.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Where to start as a business in measuring carbon emissions.
  • Basic knowledge of emission categories and data requirements.
  • Understand Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions and the key differences.
  • Some examples of emission calculations.
  • How to report emissions on an annual basis.
  • How to set near-term and long-term targets.
  • How to make a Net Zero commitment via the SME Climate Hub.
  • Introduce next steps in planning and delivering carbon reductions.

Please note: This is for organisations based in the Tees Valley area (Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Darlington, Redcar and Cleveland, Stockton-on-Tees). This event is funded by the Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) Net Zero programme, funded by the UK Government through UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
