Booking is now open for the next round of the Tees Valley Leadership Programmes Skills Days Autumn 2024.
These stand-alone training days are packed full of useful tips and takeaways that you can apply to your work and leadership, no matter what the context.
The skills days are open to anyone working in the Tees Valley cultural sector whether for an organisation, independently or as a freelancer. Skills Days can help you to enhance your skills, build confidence and expand your network.
This practical one-day workshop is designed to build confidence in and sharpen your skills in working with groups. Leadership requires working with groups in a range of contexts – and it is challenging. Groups can be powerful, sometimes overwhelming – AND groups contain a wealth of wisdom, ideas and creativity. How can we really tap into that? To generate effective dialogue, work creatively with conflict, encourage ideas and decision making with groups of people?
This is facilitation skills training in its broadest sense: it is about developing your strength in working effectively with others, whether leading or supporting group meetings, running workshops and other collaborative events or processes.
The day includes a mixture of training input, lots of practice of skills and reflective sessions, as well as a short action planning session at the end to help you decide how to put into practice the approaches and skills developed.
You will also have the opportunity for follow on support, tips and guidance as you apply your learning in real life, with an online follow up session 4-6 weeks after the course.
The fee for each leadership skills day is on a pay what you decide basis. There is a recommended minimum rate of £10 + VAT for individuals; £25 + VAT for organisations. BOOK NOW
