Owned by Hartlepool Council, the five-acre Hartlepool Waterfront site lies close to Hartlepool’s town centre and wider marina area, with plans agreed for a mixed use redevelopment including office and leisure facilities.
The area is already a proven location for business and professional service companies who require modern office accommodation.
A concept master plan has been adopted to create a framework for the redevelopment of the site as phase one of the landmark destination gets under way.
The vision is to create a “dawn to dusk” destination on the Waterfront with a mix of civic, cultural, leisure and visitor attractions to complement the restaurants, cafes, bars and shops within the wider Hartlepool Marina area. Plans include a watersports hub, an outdoor arena, a waterfront core visitor attraction, restaurants and a 100-bed 4* hotel with conferencing and banqueting facilities as well as the expansion of the National Museum of the Royal Navy.
