In March 2021, the UK Government published Bus Back Better the National Bus Strategy – A requirement of the Strategy is for each Local Transport Authority to publish a Bus Service Improvement Plan by October, setting out how we will work together with local bus operators to increase the number of people travelling by bus.
In September 2021 we asked you for you views on our bus services, so that we can better understand the views of bus users, and those who may not currently use the bus. All the feedback we received will be taken into consideration when finalising the Bus Service Improvement Plan, and in the improvements that are subsequently delivered.
The consultation is now closed, and the final Bus Service Improvement Plan is available to view by clicking here.
The Bus Service Improvement Plan is part the wider Strategic Transport Plan, which aims to provide a “high-quality, quick, affordable, reliable, low carbon and safe transport network for people and freight to move within, to and from Tees Valley”
