As you are aware, the Tees Valley Combined Authority is about to hold a series of events designed to engage with businesses and other local stakeholders, the findings from which will inform the Local Industrial Strategy.
The engagement process will comprise of a series of challenge sessions, organised by sector, which will provide an opportunity to:
- Explore and understand the emerging evidence base for the LIS
- Discuss the factors underpinning a sector’s local distinctiveness
- Consider the opportunities/market failures to be addressed in order to deliver productivity growth
- Map out potential future growth scenarios and the interventions/support required to unlock enhanced economic outcomes
