It’s a New Year, so welcome to your new-look Combined Authority Newsletter – highlighting all the transformational projects we’re driving across Teesside, Darlington and Hartlepool.
Up until now, we’ve been putting these newsletters out every quarter. But since so many huge projects have kicked off in 2022 – it’s hard to give people a full impression of everything we’re doing.
Last year saw significant steelmaking structures demolished, and the start of construction at SeAH Wind and the South Bank Heavy Lift Quay at Teesworks. Teesside Airport saw its biggest year in almost a decade while expanding its cargo services and helping businesses expand. And we helped drive tens of millions of pounds into schemes and projects to improve every corner of our region.
Given there’s only more exciting news and opportunities to come in 2023 – driving forward the projects we kicked off in our year of construction – we’ve decided to move to a monthly update.
