Live Question Time Comes To Darlington In Latest Chance To Quiz The Mayor

A chance to quiz the Tees Valley Mayor in person is back.

The latest in-person Question Time session will be held at Darlington Mowden Park, on Wednesday, 18 March, from 6.30pm onwards.

The series gives people from the Tees Valley the chance to put their questions directly to the Mayor and complements regular BBC Radio Tees ‘Ask Me Anything’ sessions.

An independent journalist will chair the session by selecting questions submitted by the audience at the ticketed events.

Entrance is free with doors to open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.

Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen said: “People across Teesside, Darlington and Hartlepool deserve the chance to have their questions answered and their voices heard.

“We’re holding another Mayor’s Question Time event to give local people the opportunity to ask the questions that matter to them and hear directly about the decisions shaping our region.

“This is a chance for people to come along in person and have a proper conversation about the future of our area, from jobs and growth to transport and issues affecting local people every day.”

For security, a maximum of four tickets per order is permitted, and the names of each person attending must be provided.

Attendees must provide a valid photo ID matching the name provided with the ticket booking. Anyone without a ticket and photo ID may be denied access.

The Mayor and Combined Authority Cabinet approved a Mayoral Question Time last year.

Further dates and venues for Question Time events in Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, and Redcar and Cleveland will be announced in the coming months.

Tickets to the event are free, however, spaces are limited.
