European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)
Tees Valley has a notional allocation of £94.3 million (the sterling value may change dependent on exchange rate fluctuations) ERDF funding designed to deliver economic growth and job creation to reduce economic disparities.
The key investment priorities of the 2014-20 ERDF programme in Tees Valley are:
- Priority Axis 1 Innovation: Promoting Research and Innovation;
- Priority Axis 2 ICT: Enhancing Access to, and Use and Quality of, ICT;
- Priority Axis 3 SME Competitiveness: Enhancing the Competitiveness of SMEs; and
- Priority Axis 4 Low Carbon: Supporting the Shift Towards a Low Carbon Economy in all Sectors.
Within each Priority Axis there are a number of investment priorities, full details can be found in the ESIF Strategy or the Operational Programme.
