As part of the original Growth Deal, this project delivered improvements to the highway at the entrance of Teesside Park. Continuous problems with differential settlement has created significant level changes in the main carriageway.
This was a safety issue which could have led to problems on the strategic road network through the A66 and render the Retail and Leisure Park isolated. There was also associated improvements to pedestrian access and traffic signalling.
