Skills Support for the Workforce

Skills Support for the Workforce (SSW) is funded by the European Social Fund and is currently being delivered by Calderdale College through a network of locally based, professional training providers.  The SSW Programme offers free training to help small to medium-sized eligible businesses based in Tees Valley to fill their skill gaps, raise productivity and boost business growth.  The SSW Programme is a free service, and will help to turn your business growth plans into reality by upskilling your existing workforce. They will work with you to identify your businesses skills gaps and recommend bespoke training plans which will give your workforce the skills they need to grow your business.

Support available includes a comprehensive training needs analysis to identify your current and future skills gaps; a bespoke training plan designed around your business’ specific skills gaps and growth plans; and access to free training courses delivered by locally based, professional training providers. Training can be delivered at a time and place to suit your commercial needs and minimise the impact on staffing capacity.  If you struggle to recruit people with the right skills to grow your business, and want to access free training provision then contact http://ssw.fundingunit.org.uk/areas/tees-valley/ to see if you’re eligible to take part or to apply.
