The fifth annual Tees Valley Business Summit is gearing up to be the best yet, expected to exceed the 700 delegates and 100 exhibitors who made for a hugely successful event in 2015.

Organised jointly by Tees Valley Unlimited, the Local Enterprise Partnership for Tees Valley and Tees Valley Business Compass, booking is now open for delegates. Taking place on Tuesday 5th July 2016 at the Olympia Building, Teesside University, the Tees Valley Business Summit is free to attend and features practical seminars, inspirational workshops, one-to-one advice meetings and networking opportunities.

Paul Booth, Chairman of Tees Valley Unlimited, said: “This is the biggest and best business networking event in the Tees Valley and it is growing every year.

“It is so important that businesses have the opportunity to come together to listen and learn at the seminars and workshops and also to make invaluable contacts to support other local organisations and gain valuable new clients and customers.”

Sharon Olivero-Chapman of Stockton-based The Stottie Company who visited the 2014 Business Summit said: “Business and corporate catering is a big part of our business and we got so many contacts from the Business Summit that it was definitely worthwhile attending.

“In fact, the Stottie Company has been contracted to cater for this year’s event and that is something we are incredibly excited about!”

Sara Williams, Head of Marketing & Business Development at Lingfield Point in Darlington, said: “Lingfield Point exhibited at Tees Valley Business Summit for the first time in 2015 – we were amazed at the quality and calibre of contacts we made.

“The whole day was a tremendous success, providing valuable leads and an opportunity to refresh existing relationships all under one roof in one day – an invaluable brand building opportunity for our business park – enabling us to build awareness of Lingfield Point in Darlington instantly.

“It provided us with time to assess and reflect on how the Tees Valley continues to grow and react to emerging markets, understand wider regional and national economic trends, but also enabled us to strengthen our own development plans – in line with the strategic ambition of the whole region.

“We’ve been so impressed we have become more actively involved in 2016 and would recommend that any business that does business in the Tees Valley attend – its time well-spent.”

Tees Valley Business Summit is sponsored by Teesside University, North East Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Small Business, Lingfield Point, Tilly Baily and Irvine and Boho Print.
