What’s the one thing that can make any holiday better? Brining your canine campion along with you of course!

There are lots of places to stay with your pooch in the Tees Valley, so don’t paws for thought and get barking your next dog-friendly holiday at home now.

Kip & Nook

Kip & Nook, just outside of Darlington is the ultimate country getaway with a choice of quirky accommodation options, which are all dog friendly.

The site which sits on the edge of glorious countryside is the perfect spot to take your pup with plenty of walking routes to explore right on the doorstep, as well as dog-friendly pubs (BONE-US). You can choose from the Cabin, Container or Baby Bro for parties of two or The Barn for a group of eight people.

Availability is limited so don’t hang around and get booking now.

Gisborough Hall

The grandeur of the gorgeous Gisborough Hall located on the outskirts of the North York Moors National Park can be appreciated by both you and your faithful furry sidekick as four-legged friends are welcome to stay in the ground floor bedrooms.

If you let Gisborough Hall know that you’re bringing your canine plus one, you might even find some doggie treats in your room ready for arrival.

With both the coast and more walking routes than you can shake (or throw) a stick at, a dog-friendly staycation in Guisborough could be the pawfect choice.

Mill Granary Cottages

Mill Granary Cottages offer a selection of self-catering holiday cottages which are set in beautiful rolling countryside. With two luxury dog-friendly cottages, the Mill Granary and Mill Byre set in stone built 18th century converted barns, this is a dog friendly stay that is more than a little special.

Staying here means you are a stone’s throw away from an abundance of walking and cycling routes through peaceful lanes and quiet limewashed hamlets with everything from a Michelin-starred restaurant, to welcoming local pubs, restaurants, farm shops and cafes.

The Spa, Saltburn

The family-run Spa Hotel is an imposing sight, boasting unrivalled panoramic views of Huntcliff, the North Sea, and the beautiful surrounding countryside which can be enjoyed by you and your pawsome pup. Welcoming families, walkers and surfers too, everyone can expect a comfortable stay at The Spa in Saltburn.

Set in the pretty Victorian seaside town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, you will find coastal walks within easy reach, with dogs allowed full access to the beach between September and May at Saltburn and all year round at Redcar Beach or Cattersty Sands in Skinningrove.

From here you and your pooch can also find countryside adventures including taking on part of national walking route The Cleveland Way.

Middleton Cottages, Yarm

Situated in 170 acres of beautiful arable farmland, Middleton Cottages are a collection of contemporary cottages finished to a high standard pawfect for holidays which include the family pet!

All but one of the luxurious cottages is pet friendly with the Damson, Maple and Pear Tree Cottage all welcoming one well-behaved pooch.

Each cottage has its own private hot tub, where you can enjoy views of the Cleveland Hills whilst enjoying a doggie paddle (minus the dog!) relaxing after a day of walking in the neighbouring North York Moors, countryside and pretty villages that surround you.

The pretty market town of Yarm is also a short drive or taxi ride away, where you can enjoy an array of cafes, bars and restaurants, many with outdoor space to enjoy with your doggie sidekick.
