A new Visit England report indicates that people planning days out in their local area this Bank Holiday weekend will contribute a significant £3.1 billion to the economy.

So why not spend some time here in Tees Valley this weekend? Check out our fantastic ideas for things to do!

First up, the Guisborough Vintage Fair is happening on Saturday at St Nicholas Church Hall. You’ll discover authentic vintage fashion, records, collectables, antiques, and homewares. The weather forecast looks promising too, making it ideal for a stroll through Guisborough Forest and its popular walking trails, offering breath-taking views and stunning scenery. Plus, dogs are welcome at both the Fair and on the trails!

In Redcar town centre, the Between the Tides festival returns on both Saturday and Sunday. This free weekend of adventure features pop-up performances by nationally renowned outdoor arts companies, an interactive game zone, and the captivating Luminarium Installation at Kirkleatham Museum.

For the adults, Hartlepool and Stockton are hosting beer festivals. From Friday to Sunday, the Eaglescliffe Beer Festival at Egglescliffe Community Centre offers over 45 beers, 15 ciders, artisan spirits, and more, complemented by delicious food and live music. On Sunday, Hartlepool Rugby Club hosts the Hootenanny and Beer Festival, promising the best of local live music and brews.

Looking to walk off the night before or simply seeking a leisurely stroll? Explore the Teesdale Way, a long-distance trail starting in Cumbria and winding down to Redcar & Cleveland’s scenic beaches. Alternatively, enjoy picturesque village walks near Darlington, from Hurworth and Middleton One Row to Yarm.

For something unique to do with the kids, visit Teessaurus Park in Middlesbrough, a hidden gem boasting 10 acres of massive dinosaur sculptures and fantastic Teesside views that appeal to all ages.
