Teesside Restaurant Week is back! And there are so many restaurants involved this time round, you’ll be spoilt for choice with all the great deals across Teesside.
There’s no better way to chase away the winter blues than with a three-course meal at your favourite Teesside restaurant for just £20!
The week runs from 7 – 13 February, so it’s the perfect way to have a Valentine’s Day dinner for less in the run-up to the holiday.
Eateries all over our area are taking part in this mouth-watering event. So we’ve put together a list of the amazing restaurants to make sure you don’t miss out.
Al Forno Italian Darlington and Al Forno Italian Ingleby Barwick
There are two Al Forno restaurants taking part – one in Darlington the other in Ingleby Barwick – and both produce outstanding Italian food. It’s a classic experience with hearty meals, good wine, and a classy ambiance.
Their Restaurant Week menu includes a choice of starters, including fresh mozzarella salad, smooth duck parfait, steamed mussels and more. You can then follow that up with main course of one of their authentic pasta dishes, a rich beef stroganoff or a pizza piccola Italia. Finally, you’ll have full choice of their desert menu to round off your dining experience.

If you’re into Asian fusion, Banh Mi is the place to go. This underground contemporary restaurant offers a cool low-light atmosphere and an amazing selection of locally sourced pan-Asian cuisine.
Its menu includes a starter of red chilli chicken wings, Yuk Sung Chinese lettuce wraps and a hot and sour Tom Yum soup as a vegetarian option. In mains you have a choice of a vegetable skewer, spicy beef Vietnamese pho, Asian fish curry or char sui belly pork. If you have room left after all of that there’s delightful dessert choice, including brownies, parfait and sorbet.

For fine dining with a cosy, country pub feel, head straight for The Bay Horse in beautiful Hurworth-on-Tees. It’s the perfect setting for the winter months with a heated outdoor space and an open fire inside.
For Restaurant Week it’s serving up pub classics with a twist, such as French black pudding, carrot wellington and a beef suet pudding with a red wine jus. There are amazingly indulgent deserts as well, with the likes of gingerbread ice cream and a honeycomb treacle sponge.
The Crathorne Arms is a fine-dining restaurant and returning favourite for Restaurant Week. The quirky and cosy bistro also includes an outside terrace and serves exquisite dishes made with locally sourced produce, and an extensive selection of fine wines and beverages.

Canteen and Cocktails is the premier destination for classic American style food and wide variety of cocktails to wash it down with. It offers a vibe that’s reminiscent of a Fifties diner with a modern, upbeat twist with a weekend DJ adding to the lively atmosphere that makes Canteen and Cocktails the perfect place to start your night out.
The menu offers all your American-inspired favourites such as a bacon cheeseburger, popcorn chicken and cheesecake. Vegetarian and vegan options like its BBQ cauliflower wings and a smoked cheese veggie burger are also available.
A surprising entry into Restaurant Week, but a welcome one for golf enthusiasts who can tee off before teatime. Enjoy an afternoon on the course before sitting down to a three-course meal for just £20.
Its special menu includes a 12oz Himalayan salt steak, an 8oz steak burger and potato gnocchi with butternut squash and broccoli as a vegetarian option.

Fork in the Road Café Middlesbrough
The Fork in the Road is a café that dishes up tasty, affordable local food served by a friendly team in a cosy, comfortable space.
They’re offering two menus for Restaurant Week, one for weekdays and one for the weekends – so why not try both? During the week you can enjoy local classics, the famous Teesside parmo or Whitby scampi. At the weekend, it’s a wining and dining affair, perfect for Valentine’s Day, with seafood linguine and confit pork belly on offer.

Located in Yarm, this Italian eatery offers an array of indulgent food in an elegant setting.
Hearty Italian food is done right at Cena, with sourdough pizzas and pasta dishes galore on the menu for Restaurant Week. Vegetarians will love their pumpkin fennel risotto, and for dessert you can enjoy an authentic tiramisu.

Hope and Union, Stockton
Great food, awesome beers and laid-back vibes can all be found at Hope and Union in Stockton. This charming gastropub prides itself of giving its customers a mix of familiarity an adventure with dishes on their menu such as a Korean fried chicken burger, a vegan bhaji burger and pan-fried cod loin. All of its choices can be washed down with a wide range of beverages, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic.

If homecooked café food is your thing then Ingleby Café Bistro is the spot for you during Restaurant Week.
Its menu offers a charcuterie board or fishcake starter, an range of mains including a pulled mozzarella pizza and chicken or vegetarian flatbread and for dessert you can treat yourself to British classics such as Eton mess or banoffee pie.

Luna Blu Cocktails, Yarm
Luna Blu specialises in cocktails and tapas, offering small plates and large drinks to wash them down with, all in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
What’s unique about Luna Blu’s Restaurant Week menu is that it allows you to mix and match any two tapas options together as your main. Will you pair its fish cake with fried calamari for a seafood extravaganza? Or go all-out Italian with their meatballs and mozzarella dishes? The choice is yours.

One of the most popular restaurants in Yarm, Muse Continental Café offers up classic dishes with a twist, focused on the freshest and most flavourful ingredients.
Highlights from Muse’s special menu include confit chicken leg with cous cous, a smoked salmon and dill starter and a delightfully sticky ginger and apple sponge. All served with a fresh selection of trimmings be that vine tomatoes and crispy kale for the mains or a heart dollop of ice cream for the desert.

Its Restaurant Week menu is packed with classics, with beetroot risotto, North Sea fishcake and confit chicken thigh making up the main courses. Those with a sweet tooth will love their dark chocolate and cherry brownie or their carrot cake with whipped cream.
