Cycling in Hartlepool

Hartlepool has more than 50 miles of traffic free cycle paths, quiet roads and bridleways for cyclists of all ages and abilities to enjoy.
Whether you are a local resident or visitor, there is plenty you can see and do from Hartlepool’s network of cycle routes. Cycle along the promenade from Hartlepool Marina to the wide sandy beaches of Seaton Carew, travel further south to visit the Teesmouth National Nature Reserve at North Gare, or follow a circular route around the Historic Headland. There is also off-road cycling and BMX cycling at Summerhill Woodland Adventure Park. You can download detailed maps showing the various cycling routes here or visit the Tourist Information Centre at Church Square Hartlepool TS24 7EQ or contact them on 01429 869706.
