National Museum of the Royal Navy Hartlepool

A fascinating journey through time, set in an authentically-created historic quayside of the 1800s.
Experience Fighting Ships, a powerful insight into the tough lives of sailors from around the time of Admiral Lord Nelson and the Battle of Trafalgar. Learn how they were press ganged and see what life was like on board HMS Trincomalee.
Feel the firepower of guns from the era, with live demonstrations and re-enactments taking place around the quayside

Facilities

The National Museum of the Royal Navy Hartlepool offers the ultimate day out for all the family.

There are several toilets on site including disabled facilities and baby changing facilities.

We also offer free parking on site including disabled parking. We have a Georgian-themed coffee shop with a variety of hot and cold drinks as well as light bites.

Also children of all ages can enjoy our adventure themed play ship, which is the perfect place to burn off any excess energy.

Finally you can end your visit in our gift shop were you can choose the perfect souvenir to remember your day.
