Step into the past at Royal Navy Museums Hartlepool and explore life in a bustling 18th-century seaport.
Set around a fully recreated Georgian quayside, this immersive museum invites you to experience the sights, sounds and stories of naval life during the age of sail.
Discover Fighting Ships, where you’ll gain a powerful insight into the lives of sailors during the time of Battle of Trafalgar. Learn how sailors were recruited, including the realities of press-ganging, and explore what life was like aboard the historic warship HMS Trincomalee – one of the oldest ships still afloat in the UK.
Throughout your visit, enjoy live demonstrations and re-enactments across the quayside, bringing the power and drama of naval warfare to life.
Royal Navy Museums Hartlepool offers the ultimate day out for all the family.
There are several toilets on site including disabled facilities and baby changing facilities.
We also offer free parking on site including disabled parking. We have a Georgian-themed coffee shop with a variety of hot and cold drinks as well as light bites.
Also children of all ages can enjoy our adventure themed play ship, which is the perfect place to burn off any excess energy.
Finally you can end your visit in our gift shop were you can choose the perfect souvenir to remember your day.
