A Christmas of wonder and delight

Join us for a Christmas full of wonder and delight every weekend in December until Christmas Eve. Our enchanting Victorian Street and museum is a wonderful place to make Christmas memories with family and friends.

What’s on?

  • Take a magical, wintery walk on the Victorian Street and follow our Christmas elf trail to see how many cheeky elves you can spot.
  • Experience our traditional festive makeover with twinkly lights hung above the cobbles, Christmas trees and festive wreaths decorating our Victorian Street.
  • Explore our museum galleries and discover our pop-up family games with a festive twist!
  • Enjoy non-stop festive fun in our Learning Room with our exciting arts and crafts (drop-in).
  • Soak up the wonderful atmosphere with our community choirs and performers (selected times and dates).
  • Take an ‘elfie’ at our festive selfie station on the Victorian Street and capture special memories this Christmas.
  • Get cosy and warm with our seasonal hot drinks and delicious treats from the tearoom on the Victorian Street.

By train Preston Park Museum & Grounds is about a 12 minute walk from Eaglescliffe Railway Station, operated by Northern. Grand Central also run services between Sunderland and London that stop at Eaglescliffe Railway Station. By bus The museum is on a well serviced bus route. The Arriva North East bus service 7 / 7A Stockton High Street to Yarm stops outside the entrance to the park.
