Armed Forces Day

Flag Raising Ceremony – Monday 24 June 2024

The Armed Forces Flag-Raising Ceremony marks the start of Armed Forces Week which sees the raising of a flag on the Municipal buildings on Monday 24 June from 10.15am (Church Rd, Stockton-on-Tees TS18 1TW.)

Armed Forces Day on Stockton High Street – Thursday 27 June 

To celebrate Armed Forces Day, visit Stockton High Street to find out about the past, present and future of the Armed Forces with the military and partner organisations.

Enjoy live music and performances from school choirs, military-linked bands and world war themed singers, compered by Janie St John. There will be street theatre performances from the Theatre Illumiere – Toy Soldiers.

Browse through a combination of table-top displays and recruitment from Armed Forces regiments, organisations and charities. Children can also enjoy a medal-making activity with Creative Village CIC.

2:20pm – Cherie and Marina Gears
2:45pm – Janie St John

Plus pop-up street theatre walkabouts and military demonstrations.
