Join us in our brand new garden-like play space that invites little ones to explore, adventure, and grow vibrant ideas together with their grown-ups. As part of our commitment to try and meet the needs of all children, we are pleased to offer bookable slots for Creative Play for children and families with neurodiverse conditions.
Thurs 10 October 2.30pm-3.30pm
Ages: 0-10 years
Free, pre-bookable event
Lounge and snuggle, roll and dance, play and discover in this enchanting space where ideas can germinate, curiosity will grow new shoots and young minds develop as creativity blooms.
Made with the children and educators at Borough Road Nursery together with Theatre Hullabaloo artists and researchers, this creative play space has been shaped through research into how children and adults want to be together in creative spaces. It’s designed as a gentle restorative space for babies, children and adults alike and has been particularly enjoyed by the SEND children at the nursery.
We’re offering a 1-hour slot which enables up to 4 families (where at least 1 child in the family has a neurodiverse condition) to enjoy an adapted session in our Imagination Playground creative play space. This might mean that the lights and sound are lowered or that some of the sound effects are more predictable. It might just mean that the session includes groups of people who are familiar, so you can investigate the space in your own time.
A Hullabaloo Host will be on hand at all times to support you in the space. Please note that The Hullabaloo and our café will be closed to the general public during this time.
You can book online or call the Box Office on 01325 405405. We will then contact you prior to your booking to discuss your upcoming visit.
To make a booking online, please select a group ticket. This allows you to bring 1 group of up to 6 people. You will be asked to indicate how many adults and children are in the group. Please remember you may be joined by another family with neurodiverse needs. There are up to 4 groups in one session.
Our fabulous venue is specifically created for children and families and is an inspiring place to play and learn. The venue is fully accessible, has great facilities for you and your family to access: child friendly toilets, buggy parking, separate baby change, creative play spaces and a great family friendly café.
