Stars of Britains’ Got Talent and the Royal Variety Show Johns’ Boys Welsh Male Voice choir perform at the wonderful Middlesbrough Town Hall.
Johns’ Boys Welsh Male Choir from North Wales is one of the most decorated British male choirs in history. The choir have won numerous choral competitions and in 2019 became the first British Male Voice Choir to win the prestigious Pavarotti ‘Choir of the World’ prize at the Llangollen International music festival. They have made numerous TV appearances, including The Last Night of the Proms, Britain’s Got Talent, The Royal Variety Show and the Netflix blockbuster drama Stay Close.
The choir have gathered millions of new followers since appearing on the live shows of Britain’s Got Talent and were described by Simon Cowell as “a brilliant choir. I love them!” Their cover version of Calum Scott’s Biblical has had over 21 millions views and comments world wide. The choir recently appeared on The Royal Variety show and have also released their debut single ‘Biblical’ which went straight to number one in the ITUNES Classical charts.
They are in great demand on the concert platform performing in prestigious theatres throughout Great Britain including The Apollo, Hammersmith,The Royal Albert Hall, London , Birmingham Symphony Hall Birmingham and the Millennium Theatre Cardiff. The choir regularly sings in the Principality Stadium for Welsh Rugby Union home international games.
Appearing with them will be West End and Broadway singer John Owen Jones. John is a record-breaking West End and Broadway actor and singer best known for his critically acclaimed and award-winning performances as Jean Valjean in Les Misérables and as The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera. John remains the youngest actor in West End history to have played Jean Valjean in Les Misérables (a role he also played twice on Broadway) and has performed as the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera nearly 2000 times – more than any actor in the show’s entire West End run.
