Manchester Camerata – The Night Overtook Us

As we move into the Winter months, join Manchester Camerata and Scottish fiddle player, Donald Grant & his band for a cosy evening of folk music from the Scottish Islands accompanied by the award-winning Manchester Camerata.

Born and bred in the Scottish Highlands, Donald Grant was raised on Gaelic music. He has toured worldwide as a member of the Elias String Quartet as a classical violinist as well as with many other international ensembles. He will direct Manchester Camerata in an evening of contemporary folk music performing folk music from his home, his very own music, including a new premiere, The Night Overtook Us and David Heath’s The Celtic for violin and orchestra.
