Saltburn Ice Trail

Saltburn Ice Trail is now firmly established as one of the most popular events on the Christmas calendar in the Tees Valley and it returns to the seaside town on Saturday 7 December from 10am to 4pm.

Renowned ice sculptors Sand in Your Eye will create nine amazing ice sculptures around the theme of pantomime across Saltburn.  Follow the trail for a great way to explore this popular resort.  There is a live ice carve; walkabout performances; a Christmas Market in association with Saltburn Inspired and a lively Beer & Carols sessions led by the Saltburn Smugglers.

You can also visit Santa in his Grotto in Saltburn’s newly reopened Cliff Tramway – Britain’s oldest water balanced cliff funicular.  You’re never too old for a visit to Santa – especially in this spectacular setting.

Saltburn is home to a whole host of independent shops, bars and restaurants, so why not make a day – or weekend – of it.  With direct trains from Manchester, it’s the perfect festive getaway.
