On evening open-air show combining drones and live performance will officially launch the S&DR200 festival programme with a bang. The family-friendly performance of ‘All Change’ will chart the enthralling story of train travel, speeding through 200 years of innovation and upheaval, showing the impact of the modern railway in the North East of England.
The show is created by award-winning theatre makers imitating the dog and SKYMAGIC, the team behind memorable drone shows from Coachella to the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Before the show, visitors can join a range of activities on site or enjoy an afternoon screening of the feature-length documentary ‘Iron and Steam’, a dramatic retelling of the dawn of the Stockton & Darlington Railway in Bishop Auckland Town Centre.
