Save the date! It’s party time at Preston Park Museum this summer. They can’t wait to continue celebrating their special 70th birthday with you.
They are partying all summer long and everyone is invited so come and join in with arts and crafts, party games, stories, teddy’s bear picnic and party entertainers for non-stop family fun. You can also explore our museum galleries and Victorian Street or discover the outdoors in our Walled Garden, orchard and Woodland Walk for the perfect, big party-themed day out.
Every Monday during the summer you can get creative with exciting family arts and crafts.
Enjoy magical story adventures with expert storytellers every Tuesday over the summer.
Get closer to nature and enjoy an inspiring outdoor activity in the Walled Garden, orchard or Woodland Walk every Thursday.

Party entertainer Tom Rolfe will be bringing a weekend of family entertainment with a magic show, Punch and Judy, circus skills and balloon modelling (5-6 Aug and 12-13 Aug, 11am-3pm)
The popular teddy bear’s picnic is back! Bring your favourite teddy and a picnic to enjoy on Sunday 20 August for a ‘beary’ special day.
Don’t miss the party makeover in the Victorian Street and museum galleries and discover more about our collection through interactive birthday-themed activities.

Museum admission applies. When you purchase a ticket, you can return for unlimited free visits for 12 months.
The park has many accessible paths, however there are also a number of rough and uneven pathways which can be difficult to navigate, especially in wet conditions.
The museum is wheelchair and pushchair accessible. Wheelchairs and walkers are available to use throughout your visit, please ask a member of staff if you require assistance. Please be aware that our gardens are accessed via a gravel path.
