Swimming in Books family day

Celebrate family reading and the love of books at our Swimming in Books family day on Saturday 14 September from 9.30am to 2.30pm at Stockton Central Library.

Come along and enjoy:

• sessions with local illustrator Liz Million.
• a sensory reading den with interactive creative stories.
• taking part in our fish trail.
• crafts for all the family and sensory water play for under 5s.

Families will also receive a free copy of Splash! by Claire Cashmore.

Activity timetable:

9.45 – 10.15am: Creative story time with story maker Louise – suitable for 3 – 5 years
10 – 11am: Draw with Liz (followed by book sales and signing) – suitable for 3+ years
10.45 – 11.15am: Creative story time with story maker Louise – suitable for 3 – 5 years
11.15am – 12.15pm: In Our Hands with author Lucy Farfort – suitable for under 6 years (needs to booked), followed by book sales/signing
12 – 12.30pm: Creative story time with story maker Louise – suitable for 3 – 5 years
12.30 – 1.30pm: Draw with Liz (followed by book sales and signing) – suitable for 3+ years
1.45 – 2.45pm: In Our Hands with author Lucy Farfort – suitable for 6+ years (needs to be booked), followed by book sales/signing
2.30 – 3pm: Creative story time with story maker Louise – suitable for 3 – 5years

9.30 – 2.30pm: face painting, fish trail, crafts, sensory water play
10am – 2pm: Starbooks café (sandwiches, toasties, teacakes, hot and cold drinks, snacks)
