The Poets’ Table: A Programme of Masterclasses

Join Dr Bob Beagrie in a non-accredited course of advanced workshops exploring the process of poetic composition.
From initial inspiration, through directed research & freesearch, drafting, revision, group feedback, formal experimentation and structural and stylistic considerations, to close editing and coaching in oral performance / recital, this programme of workshops provides a friendly and supportive environment in which to reflect upon your current practice, set achievable goals, expand your poetic range and build a body of polished work for publication and/or live presentation.

Each workshop will involve practical step-by-step activities around a particular theme or approach, group discussion of example poems and related poetic techniques, principles and theory, as well as sharing and constructive feedback on work-in-progress.

The 4 week taster programme culminates in a showcase of poetry in which members of The Poet’s Table perform a selection of their poetry to a public audience.
