Travelodge have just opened a new 55 bedroom hotel in the centre of Middlesbrough above Aldi on the site of the old infirmary. The new hotel on Newport Road represented a £2 million investment in Middlesbrough and has created 20 new jobs for the area. Occupancy is already proving healthy and the organisation is confident that this will be one of the best performing hotels in the North East. Travelodge is the UK’s fastest growing and most recognised budget hotel brand, with over 353 hotels in the UK, Ireland and Spain. They are already looking for a further site in Middlesbrough.
