A Levels (Level 3) are subject based qualifications that can lead to university, further study, training, or work.
Young people would normally study three A Levels over a two-year period. There are no compulsory subjects, and it is up to the individual to decide which subjects interest them most or will benefit their future studies. A Levels are usually assessed by examinations.
You normally need five GCSEs at grades nine to four, including English and maths, and at least a grade six in the subject you want to study. This may vary across different colleges, so it is important to check first.
Students who don’t have a minimum standard in maths and English will need to achieve these while completing the qualification.
