Gatsby Benchmark 4 highlights the importance of linking curriculum learning to careers. For example, STEM subject teachers should highlight the relevance of STEM subjects for a wide range of future career paths.

Tees Valley schools and colleges were involved in the Educate the Educators programme, which focussed on two of the Tees Valley priority growth sectors: Low Carbon & Energy and Healthcare & Life Sciences. Teachers visited businesses from these sectors and created a lesson resource which will help support you link careers to the curriculum. Read more about the project here.
