Overview & Scrutiny Committee

As part of the Combined Authority’s democratic governance, the Overview and Scrutiny Committee has statutory powers to oversee all aspects of our work.

It can review policies and financial arrangements, call in decisions for review, and hold the Mayor, Cabinet and senior officers to account.  It is made up of 15 Councillors, ensuring an effective democratic link back to the elected members of our partner authorities.
