Tees Valley Combined Authority is pleased to announce that UK Shared Prosperity Funding (UKSPF) has been awarded via the Supporting Local Business theme to 6 new delivery partners who have been awarded funding.

Tees Valley Digital Transformation – Like Us (NE) Ltd

Tees Valley Digital Transformation supports the building of digital adoption to effectively improve businesses efficiencies, their productivity, and help them scale up. It includes diagnostics followed by small cohort-based workshops, 1-1 mentoring, peer to peer and group support. Self-guided learning to help businesses and their workforces to understand what digitalisation is, what the benefits are, and how to implement digital capability in their business. Dedicated consultants will work directly with businesses to enact the changes identified in their plans, realising immediate value. Businesses may also be eligible to apply for up to £3k grants up to support exploration and adoption of new technologies and improve productivity, create detailed technical specifications for attracting investment/commissioning new products or implementing new processes.

Tees Valley Entrepreneurs – Triage

Tees Valley Entrepreneurs helps residents facing barriers to self-employment to develop business and entrepreneurial skills through one-to-one advice and support. There can be many barriers to self-employment. Whether it’s a poor credit rating, lack of expertise or maybe even a language barrier. These things shouldn’t come in the way of a great idea, so regardless of age, qualifications, or current employment status, Tees Valley Entrepreneurs could help individuals start or scale up their business. Grants of up to £1,000 could also be available.

Tees Valley Innovation Challenge – Edge Innovation Ltd
Tees Valley Innovation Challenge helps unlock innovation-driven growth for local SMEs, enhancing their innovation capabilities through challenge-led collaboration opportunities, alongside specialist one-to-one support, training, and events. Sector-based innovation challenges are designed to connect SMEs with large organisations to co-create new products or services in response to challenges. Businesses could also be eligible to apply for grant funding between £1,000 and £10,000 to develop innovative solutions. Tees Valley Innovation Challenge provides the platform, guidance and resources to help businesses capitalise on investment opportunities within the region’s vibrant innovation ecosystem, forge valuable connections, and accelerate your growth in new markets.

Tees Valley Labs – Alt Labs

Tees Valley Labs is an extensive business support programme designed to enhance business growth and innovation in Tees Valley. Two programmes support entrepreneurs, start-ups, and scale-ups, equipping them with essential resources, mentorship, and grant access. The Stable is a 6-month incubator programme for businesses in early ideation to market traction. Access up to £28,000 in grant funding. The Forge is a 12-week accelerator programme supporting businesses transitioning from revenue generation to major investment. Access a funding pot of £1.5Million.

Tees Valley Net Zero – Decerna Ltd

Tees Valley Net Zero supports the development of Net Zero strategies. Support will be provided every step of the way, with Net Zero Advisors and Technical Specialists on hand with online and in-person Net Zero consultations. Access to information is available 24/7 through a suite of online tools and resources, including access to a new web- based tool that will generate a Carbon Reduction Plan. To support implementing recommendations once their Carbon Reduction Plan is in place, businesses may also be eligible to apply for grant support up to £2k to make adopt new processes and technologies.

Tees Valley Net Zero (Environmental Products Declarations) – Decerna Ltd
Tees Valley Net Zero (Environmental Products Declarations) offers support to business to quantify the environmental performance of their products. Support is available to help establish the systems and processes needed to collate the data required for the certification, allowing businesses to work quickly and efficiently with their chosen EPD provider. For those businesses who are ready to produce an EPD, Decerna can provide the full technical report – known as a Life Cycle Assessment. This means businesses simply get their product verified, approved, and placed on an international EPD register.

It will also ensure investor readiness is embedded in the thinking of new entrepreneurs.

Tees Valley Supply Chain supports companies to prepare and engage with regional, national and global supply chains, including service and product opportunities. It includes access to an exciting range of sector engagement and networking events, comprising Meet the Buyer and Developer sessions, supply chain villages and surgeries. Dedicated workshops and support from specialist advisors can help to address identified capacity building needs, allowing businesses to target growth within existing or new supply chains. The programme is being delivered in collaboration with local and national support networks, sector and trade organisations.
