New Website Puts Investment Opportunities Front-and-Centre

A new one-stop shop to promote the region’s top sites and facilities to would-be investors has been launched at one of the UK’s biggest investment showcases.

Website InvesTees.co.uk made its debut at the three-day UKREiiF event in Leeds – which has attracted more than 12,000 attendees including investors, developers, local and national Government figures, agents and contractors.

The portal is set to become the first and only place to visit to understand the huge opportunities for businesses in our region, showing off the diverse investment offer in all five boroughs.

The website has been created by working with Local Authority partners to highlight sites of all sizes, for all sectors and both existing and up and coming.

These include Darlington’s Science Park, Hartlepool’s Screen Industries Production Village, Middlesbrough’s Boho Zone, Redcar & Cleveland’s Wilton International and Stockton’s Care and Health Innovation Zone, along with dozens more.

InvesTees was unveiled by Siobhan McArdle, Chair of the Tees Valley Business Board, at a packed special panel as part of the Tees Valley Mayor and Combined Authority’s three-day appearance at the exhibition.

Siobhan said: “For too long the approach to marketing our area has been piecemeal and fragmented. We’re getting more and more enquiries about how businesses can become located in Tees Valley and now we can point to one live, ever-developing website so they can see the array of locations across the region. I was delighted to reveal this project to attendees who were very interested in our plans and sites.”

Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen said: “This is yet another way we can bang the drum for our region, locally, nationally and globally. By setting out our shop window, businesses can easily find locations to suit their needs, meaning they can waste no time in getting in touch to bring investment, schemes and, most importantly, the jobs our local people deserve.”
