Agendas and papers for all formal meetings are published 5 clear working days before the meeting. Draft minutes are published within 10 working days of a meeting (they are subject to change until approved at the following meeting). Final minutes are published within 10 clear working days of being approved.
Please note: Social distancing measures required during the COVID-19 outbreak make it impossible for the Combined Authority to hold physical statutory meetings for the immediate future.
To allow crucial operational decisions to be taken in this period – and to allow for appropriate scrutiny of those decisions – all statutory meetings will be held by video conference until further notice.
The power to do this is granted by the Local Authorities and Police and Crime Panels (Coronavirus) (Flexibility of Local Authority and Police and Crime Panel Meetings) (England and Wales) Regulations 2020. The Combined Authority has chosen to use the Microsoft Teams Live Events platform for these meetings.
The COVID-19 regulations require us to allow the public and press to access statutory meetings. The link required to access will be published alongside the agenda and papers for the meeting If it is necessary for the press and public to be excluded under the terms of Section 100A (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, these attendees will be asked by the Chair to leave the meeting. If they do not comply, The Chair or Governance team members will act to exclude them.
If members of the public wish to ask questions these will be accepted at the discretion of the Chair, and will need to be submitted via email to TVCAGovernance@teesvalley-ca.gov.uk by the end of the day before the meeting.
