The Pennyweight

The Pennyweight is a traditional Darlington pub with a wealth of history laid beneath its floors.

Once over, it was used as a communal baking shop where locals, in and around Darlington, used to bring their home-made pies, cakes and pastries to be cooked in the old cellars of The Pennyweight.

Today at The Pennyweight, we pride ourselves on hearty traditional pub food, all locally sourced and cooked in the tradtional way.
