From the Broken Scar Picnic Area car park to the King George V Memorial Fountain, this section of the Teesdale Way is mostly level and relatively easy. Along the way, you may come across a golf course, a village cricket ground and Middlesbrough Football Club’s training ground, all of which are located on the Rockliffe Hall estate. If you’re lucky, you may even get to watch a cricket match or two. This route connects the town of Darlington in the borough to Hurworth-on-Tees in County Durham.
