Taste of Africa Carnival & Market

Get ready to groove and celebrate as the Taste of Africa Africa-Caribbean Carnival makes a dazzling return on September 14th! This sensational carnival marks the perfect prelude to Black History Month in October, bringing a burst of culture and colour to Middlesbrough Town Centre. We’re thrilled to announce the incredible addition of Bantu Arts to this year’s festivities, alongside a lineup of talented local performers.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 14th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This incredible celebration is open to all ages, promising a day filled with music, dance, delicious food, and a vibrant showcase of African and Caribbean heritage. The parade will kick off at the Town Hall, making its way through Albert Road, Grange Road, and back down Linthorpe Road, ending in the centre outside the old House of Fraser building.

There will be a family zone featuring storytelling and drumming workshops, as well as a series of local artists, food stalls, arts and crafts, dancing, and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Don’t miss this joyous celebration of culture and community!
