John and Michelle acquired Thorpe Thewles Lodge in May 2015 and set about creating a rural, idyllic retreat.
The lodge has been created from a restored barn conversion, each room is complete with the original brick pillars, vaulted ceilings and wooden beams. The rooms are tastefully decorated, blending modern décor and furnishings, with the building’s original features.
Each en-suite room has its own external access and is available with one our luxury private hot tub gardens for the ultimate relaxing staycation. The hot tubs are sheltered against bad weather so can be enjoyed the whole year round.
Breakfast is provided in our cosy dining area using only the finest locally sourced produce and our very own free range eggs, laid here at the lodge.
There are a number of excellent places to dine out for lunch and dinner within five minutes of the lodge and food can also be delivered to the lodge.
There are a great selection of country pubs offering real ale and excellent food in the surrounding villages , we are five minutes from the A1 & Wynyard Hall. Stockton town centre, Middlesbrough, Sedgefield and Darlington are all within a short drive.
