Bandjam

What is Bandjam?

Bandjam is for young people who are looking for professional tuition in guitar, bass, drums, keyboard or vocals. We offer group tuition with opportunities to play alongside other musicians. We provide instruments at the session, but you’re welcome to bring yours along.

How does it work?

We have two groups: Bandjam Juniors (ages 8-11) and Bandjam Seniors (ages 12-17).

Juniors is beginner-friendly; each session starts with a big group warm up and a chance to hang out together, before splitting off to work in your instrument/vocal groups.

Seniors is aimed at young people who are interested in forming their own bands and getting to know other musicians, with lots of practice space available across the Town Hall.

Throughout the year, there’ll be chances for both age groups to play and perform live on stage with other musicians.

We offer newcomers a free taster session so you can see what it’s like! Contact us to find out more.

What our participants say:

“I’ve loved every minute of Bandjam. I’ve made friends along the way and had fun playing and making music!” – Bandjam Juniors participant
