As the Local Enterprise Partnership is fully integrated into the Combined Authority, this information applies to both.
As part of the Combined Authority’s democratic governance, we have in place an Overview and Scrutiny Committee with statutory powers to oversee all aspects of our work. The Committe can review policies and financial arrangements, call-in decisions for review, and hold the Mayor, Cabinet and senior officers to account. The Independent Remuneration Panel has the function of providing the Combined Authority with recommendations on the Mayor’s Allowance Scheme and the nature and level of allowance to be paid. Details of the amounts paid to each elected member of the Authority are published annually. Elected members from the constituent local authorities sit on various Tees Valley Combined Authority Boards and no payments were made to these members during 2016/17.
